Our founder
Christina Foxwell
Founder and Global CEO. South African by birth, Australian by choice.
Christina started Ignite Purpose in Sydney in 2012 with two pink suitcases and a belief that you don’t have to be hard to be strong. Fourteen years later that belief is still the whole method.
In brief
Where she comes from.
Christina was born in South Africa and built her early career there before moving to Australia in 2008. She carried a sales number from the age of 23, became a Partner at Huthwaite, ran Australia and New Zealand for a global recruitment group and sat on two global executive teams before founding Ignite Purpose in 2012.
Since then she has spent more than 23,000 hours with over 6,000 leaders, written five books, and built a practice that now works across six regions. Founding Ignite Purpose Africa with Dr Lenny Modisane was a homecoming: bringing the work back to the country that shaped her.
Leadership is an act of service. You don’t have to be hard to be strong. And women don’t need fixing to lead, they need freeing to rise.

Let us introduce ourselves properly.
If any of this resonates, we would value a short conversation to understand your people priorities and show you where we could help. No pitch, and no obligation.

In Australia you will hear from Christina Foxwell and the Sydney team.
