Our flagship programme
Leaders who can sustain, not just survive.
Sustainability under pressure, built module by module and measured every time.
92% of CEOs say the capacity to sustain under pressure is critical. Only 10.8% have a programme for it. This is that programme.
What ARISE is
A ten-module journey, not a workshop that ends on Friday.
ARISE is delivered through digital modules, group coaching and optional one-to-one coaching, with reflective journaling and emotional regulation tools built in.
It is grounded in cognitive-behavioural science, acceptance and commitment approaches, positive psychology and values alignment. Every element is there because the evidence says it earns its place.
CPD accredited
CPD #784753
Accreditation matters in the sectors that need this most. For a clinician, the hours a leader spends on their own sustainability should count towards their professional development, because they are professional development.
What it changes
Measured, not hoped for.
Every cohort is measured at the start and at the end. These are the results from the published research, not our best guess at them.
27%
gain in capacity to sustain, measured on the CD-RISC 25, from 65.1 to 76.4
a third
less burnout across the cohort
42%
improvement in psychological flexibility
100%
participant satisfaction
The journey
Ten modules, in order, each one earning the next.
They are sequenced deliberately. Self-awareness before the armour comes off. Acceptance before the story is rewritten. Nobody is asked to team until they have met themselves.

How it runs
Ten modules, a cohort around you, and coaching that keeps it honest.
- Ten digital modules, worked through at a pace a working leader can actually hold
- Group coaching with a cohort, so the learning is practised out loud and not in private
- Optional one-to-one coaching where a leader is carrying something the group cannot hold
- Reflective journaling between sessions, which is where most of the shift happens
- Emotional regulation tools to use in the moment, not just to read about
- A baseline and a re-measure on the CD-RISC 25, so the change is a number rather than a feeling
The research
Written up in full, method and all.
ARISE was studied with healthcare professionals and written up as a research paper: the method, the measures, the instruments and the outcomes. We publish it because a programme that asks leaders to be honest should be held to the same standard.
The gain in capacity to sustain was measured on the Connor-Davidson CD-RISC 25, moving cohorts from 65.1 to 76.4. Psychological flexibility and burnout were measured alongside it.
Why it matters to the business
The cost of not doing this is already on your P&L.
It is simply recorded under other names: recruitment, handover, lost momentum, the second and third resignation that followed the first.
up to 200%
the rise in turnover that burnout drives
$70k to $120k
the cost of replacing a single leader
74%
of CEOs believe a structured programme reduces that cost
57%
do not measure it. ARISE measures it
Ninety-eight percent of CEOs say this matters. The difference between the ones who act and the ones who intend to is almost always a measure they can take to a board.
The platform
The programme is the flagship. The platform is yours to use.
ARISE runs on our own learning platform and app. Once it is in your organisation, it can carry the rest of your learning too: leadership pathways, clinical education and CPD, mentorship, graduate development.
Most organisations buy a programme and then buy a system to run it in. Here they arrive together.
What else it can carry
- Leadership pathways
- Clinical education and CPD
- Mentorship
- Graduate development
Who it is for
Any group of leaders carrying more than is sustainable.
- Executive and finance leadership teams, where the pressure is constant and rarely named
- Healthcare professionals, who carry other people’s worst days as part of the job
- Whole leadership cohorts in an organisation that has asked a great deal of them for a long time
Abbott’s APAC finance leaders were among the first cohorts through the programme. In South Africa, ARISE is the spine of Sustaining the Healers, our physician wellness conference.
